Crédit Agricole Assurances is taking the growth of its business to a new level with the formation of Crédit Agricole Assurances Gestion, Informatique et Services (Caagis). The new company amalgamates the IT, back office and support functions of GIE Attica and the Information Systems Division (DSI) of Predica, the Group’s life insurance arm.
Equally owned by Crédit Agricole Assurances (CAA) and the Crédit Agricole Regional Banks, Caagis will support the growth of CAA, its subsidiaries and partners in France and worldwide by providing IT support and insurance-specific services.
Caagis will optimise the IT processes of CAA and its partners by pooling investments in information systems and providing a powerful IT and back-office platform. It meets the need to upscale and pool resources and to deliver high quality and efficient services to the CAA group. Headed by Bernard Michel, CAA has become the leading bancassurer in France.
Raphaël Appert has been appointed Chairman of Caagis, and Pierre Guillemet is its Chief Executive Officer. The new entity has two business areas: information systems, headed by Renaud Hilleret, which handles relations with insurers; and administration and management, headed by Ronan Favennec, in charge of back office activities and relations with Crédit Agricole Group banks.
Caagis employs 450 people at its sites in Paris and Vaison-la-Romaine.
