Marc Oppenheim is appointed Head of Prevention, Adaptation and Security at Crédit Agricole Assurances

Crédit Agricole Assurances announces the appointment of Marc Oppenheim as Head of Prevention, Adaptation and Security. In this capacity, he also joins the Executive Committee of Crédit Agricole Assurances.

With 40 years of experience in operational management, marketing and strategic steering, Marc Oppenheim will assume this new responsibility alongside his duties as Chief Executive Officer of Crédit Agricole Protection et Sécurité (Nexecur), a position he has held since January 2025.

This appointment reflects Crédit Agricole Assurances’ desire to strengthen its position as the leading insurer in France and the leading bancassurer in Europe by focusing on the challenges of prevention, adaptation to emerging risks and security.

Biography

Marc Oppenheim began his career in 1985 as an assistant to the Chief Financial Officer at Thomson Grand Public. He joined Compagnie Générale Maritime as Deputy Marketing Manager in London in 1989 where he helped to establish a network of agents in Asia in 1991.

After joining the General Inspectorate Division of Crédit Lyonnais in 1993, he held various positions within the branch network in Seine-Saint-Denis and created the multi-channel contact centres in 2001, before taking charge of part of the Back Offices as well as the Banque des Flux & Monétique. In 2006, he was appointed Head of Project Management and Processes, then Head of the Retail Customer Market at LCL. He joined Crédit Agricole S.A. in 2010 as Head of International Retail Banking. In 2017, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Crédit Agricole Immobilier, then in April 2024, took over as Special Advisor to the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Crédit Agricole S.A. In this role, he contributed to the Group’s strategic steering and oversight functions, thereby strengthening its cross-functional overview of security and resilience issues. He was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Nexecur in January 2025.
