NICOLAS DENIS IS APPOINTED CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER OF PREDICA, AND DEPUTY CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER AND SECOND EFFECTIVE MANAGER OF CRÉDIT AGRICOLE ASSURANCES

Crédit Agricole Assurances is pleased to announce the appointment of Nicolas Denis as Chief Executive Officer of Predica, and as Deputy Chief Executive Officer and second effective manager of Crédit Agricole Assurances. Nicolas will assume these duties effective 1 March 2023, when he will also join the Executive Committee. He will be responsible for the France Life division, which encompasses the individual savings and retirement, personal protection/creditor insurance and group insurance activities, together with the activities relating to Spirica.

Nicolas began his career in 1990 with BNP Paribas. In 1992, he joined GPA Assurances, part of the Generali group, as an actuary and later on as marketing director. He went on to join Finaref in 1998, where he developed the insurance business for six years before being appointed director of marketing and direct distribution, and then sales director. October 2008 saw Nicolas join Caisse Régionale du Crédit Agricole Centre Est as Deputy CEO, where he oversaw the private banking and corporate, credit development and agricultural, human resources and communication departments. In 2013, he joined LCL as Deputy CEO, heading up the technology and banking services departments, the Ile-de-France network department and the online network department.

Nicolas has been Chief Executive Officer of Caisse Régionale de Normandie Seine since 2016. Chairman of the CAA Board of Directors from July 2020 to July 2022, he is currently Chairman of Pacifica, Chairman of the Crédit Agricole Assurances Audit Committee and a director of Predica.

Nicolas (55) is a graduate of ENSAE, an actuary registered with the IAF (Institut des Actuaires Français) and a graduate of CHEA (Centre des Hautes Etudes d’Assurances).

Nicolas’ appointment will complete the Crédit Agricole Assurances management team, which will comprise two second effective managers alongside the Chief Executive Officer, Philippe Dumont:
- Guillaume Oreckin, CEO of Pacifica, the Crédit Agricole Assurances property & casualty insurance subsidiary
- Nicolas Denis, CEO of Predica, the Crédit Agricole Assurances personal insurance subsidiary
