Crédit Agricole Assurances further pledges to support businesses hit hardest by the health crisis

Crédit Agricole Assurances, which has been committed to providing optimal assistance to its business policyholders affected by COVID-19 since the start of the health crisis, is increasing its support by implementing the new measures agreed upon yesterday in Bercy between insurance companies and the Minister of Economy, Finance and Recovery, Bruno Le Maire, aimed at helping very small companies and SMEs in the café, hotel, restaurant, sports, culture, tourism and event sectors.

Crédit Agricole Assurances has pledged to:

  • freeze premiums in 2021 for comprehensive business insurance policies held by these companies;

  • maintain cover during the first quarter of 2021 for businesses that are late in paying their premiums as a result of the pandemic;

  • provide assistance cover free of charge for 2021 in case of hospitalisation related to COVID-19 for business owners and their employees under these policies.

Since the first days of the new lockdown, Crédit Agricole Assurances has taken the following measures to support its customers:

  • continued cover for professionals, farmers and businesses in case of a payment incident (postponement of formal notices to pay);

  • extension of cover to allow teleworking;

  • waiver of the excess in case of an accident for front-line professionals during the lockdown period and when the vehicle is used for work (healthcare professionals, firefighters, police, teachers, etc.).

All these measures are in addition to the more than €260 million extra-contractual gesture of solidarity made in April 2020 for all holders of comprehensive business insurance policies with business interruption cover.
