Pacifica unveils special offering to show solidarity with drought-hit farmers

Paris, 4 July 2011 — To help farmers during the recent drought and improve the transfer of stocks of straw from major cereal growing regions to cattle rearing areas, Pacifica has designed a simplified solution for uninsured farmers to cover bale storage or transport of straw.

Farmers insured with Pacifica, a Crédit Agricole Assurances subsidiary, are automatically covered and do not need to extend the guarantee thanks to their comprehensive policy Multirisque Agricole, which includes risks related to straw storage and transport. Wherever they are stored, Pacifica guarantees bales of straw against events such as fire or vandalism. Transport is insured through the Marchandises Transportées cover. For farmers not insured by Pacifica, a special contract has been created on the basis of Multirisque Agricole, with the possibility of extending straw insurance to several farmers.

With this new policy, Pacifica has shown its commitment to the farming community and its solidarity with drought victims, as was the case in 2003. This is proof of Pacifica’s determination to provide a comprehensive offering to meet the needs of policyholders, especially in crisis situations. And it confirms the company’s ability to provide tailor-made solutions for everyone.
