Three new appointments at Crédit Agricole Assurances

Renaud Hilleret named director of the corporate development division of Predica, the life insurance subsidiary of Crédit Agricole Assurances

Renaud Hilleret, 45, was appointed director of the corporate development division of Predica and a member of its executive committee on 2 May. He replaces Jacques Arrondeau, who has been placed in charge of organisation at Crédit Agricole Assurances.

Mr Hilleret holds a postgraduate diploma in fundamental computing and an Executive MBA from Paris Dauphine/UQUAM. He started his career in 1987 with Tuffier, Ravier & Py, a French broker, before joining Sicor as head of IT.

In 1990, he joined Pacifica as head of IT, networks & telecoms, helping to create the property-casualty subsidiary by setting up IT systems for the company's head office and claims handling units. In 1999, he became head of customer projects for Caisse Nationale de Crédit Agricole before moving to Dexia as deputy-director of IT systems for sales and direct marketing in 2000. The following year, Mr Hilleret was appointed head of IT research at Pacifica and in 2003 became director of IT systems.

As director of Predica's corporate development division, Renaud Hilleret will head up the subsidiary’s three departments: planning, organisation & projects, customer services & IT systems. He will also coordinate the IT systems of the four Crédit Agricole Assurances entities (life, property-casualty, credit insurance and international insurance).

Monique Eid named director of IT systems for Pacifica, the property-casualty insurance subsidiary of Crédit Agricole Assurances

Monique Eid joined Pacifica’s Management Committee on 2 May as director of IT systems, replacing Renaud Hilleret.

After graduating from Ecole Supérieure d’Electronique de l’Ouest, Monique Eid joined the Drouot Group in the 1980s. In 1989, she moved to Abeille-Assurance (later Aviva) as project director and then director of IT research. In 1998, she was appointed IT director for Union des Assurances Fédérales (UAF) and member of the company's management committee. When UAF merged with Predica In 2003, Monique Eid was appointed deputy director of IT systems and, in 2006, set up and led the new IT project management division.

Christian Couchoud named chief financial officer at Pacifica

Christian Couchoud, 39, joined Pacifica last February as CFO. A graduate of Agro Paris Tech with a postgraduate degree in finance from Paris-Dauphine, Christian Couchoud started out as an auditor with Arthur Andersen.

He joined the BNP group in 1996 as head of finance and internal control at the fixed-income subsidiary, BNP Finance. In 1998, he joined Crédit Agricole Indosuez as project leader for back office and capital markets and in 2000, moved to the risk management division of Caisse Nationale de Crédit Agricole to take charge of implementing the Basel II project for the Regional Banks.

Mr Couchoud joined LCL’s general inspection in 2005, where he headed up the bank’s permanent controls function before joining Pacifica in February 2008.
