In Italy, your quote comes to you via WhatsApp!

The Crédit Agricole Italia bank group and Crédit Agricole Assicurazioni (subsidiary of Crédit Agricole Assurances in Italy) have just launched a new digital service. Since 7 June, bank customers have been able to receive their "Protezione Guida" third-party car insurance quote directly on their smartphones via WhatsApp or by SMS.

This operation can be carried out from the customer area on the banking site or from the Now Banking mobile app.

A pilot scheme has also been running in 16 branches since January, offering this service via the bank's "Totem" ATMs. All the customer has to do is enter the vehicle's registration number and a phone number to receive the quote.

He/she will receive a message with the amount of the premium within an hour at most, via WhatsApp or SMS, whichever is chosen. If the customer has not responded before the quote expires, he/she will be re-contacted by the bank's call centre with an invitation to finalise the policy in a branch.

These new digital services are part of the ongoing efforts to digitise the customer journey in our Strategic Ambition Plan 2020 and the digital transformation plan launched by Crédit Agricole Assicurazioni at the beginning of 2016..
