A turnover of 3.5 billion euros for collaborative platforms in France
This is the 2016 turnover of the 276 sharing platforms active in France, an amount expected to be multiplied by three by 2018.

The sharing economy, which allows consumers to exchange or share goods and services, continues to grow in importance, and many insurers are becoming aware of this: several insurance groups have set up dedicated teams, such as MAIF which opened a "Sharing Economy" Department in 2015.
Among the new uses, shared mobility appears to be a priority for many insurers, such as GMF and its recent "Auto Mobility Pass": according to a study by Facts & Figures, 43% of vehicles will be shared in 2040, compared to 2% today.
