Spirica – the other life insurer
Crédit Agricole Assurances owns two life insurance companies: Predica and Spirica, both of which design and manage life insurance products. While Predica relies exclusively on the Regional Banks of Crédit Agricole and LCL, Spirica’s offerings are distributed by its partners: asset-management advisor platforms, private banks, online brokers and La Médicale. But its specificities do not stop there…

Created in 2007, as part of the April Group, the company celebrated its 10th anniversary last year. Crédit Agricole Assurances purchased Spirica (then known as Axéria Vie) in 2010 with a view to strengthening its range of products and services targeting specific customer segments (premium and online). And this strategy has paid off because in less than ten years, Spirica has established nearly 50 partnerships and managed more than 80,000 policies, corresponding to over €4.6 billion in assets under management.
In addition to its 95 employees and its distribution methods, Spirica’s strength resides in its information system. Sylvea is a software program designed to configure and manage complex products and to date, it has enabled Spirica to create over 80 products and offer over 2,000 lines of undertakings for collective investment in transferable securities (UCITS), real estate investment trusts (REITS) and structured products. The company has posted revenue of over €1 billion, rising by over 5% between 2015 and 2016.
Daniel Collignon, its Chief Executive Officer, looks back at 2017 and presents Spirica’s prospects for 2018.
