Halle Boca : CAA contributing to renewal in Bordeaux

On Thursday 8 November, La Halle Boca was officially opened in Bordeaux. After over two years of work, this former abattoir, built in 1938, has been totally transformed into a new destination for the city where business meets local “art de vivre”. In this way, the project owner, Crédit Agricole Assurances, in partnership with the Aquitaine Regional Bank, has invested in the preservation and transformation of an important industrial heritage site.

La Halle Boca – new docks for a new life

This major project, combining restoration and construction, marks the latest phase in the regeneration of Bordeaux – one of France’s ’s most attractive cities.

Visitors to La Halle Boca will find a 7,000 m² commercial complex with a range of shops and a food court with 14 stalls, each serving different culinary delights. An extension of the historic building houses a 4-star Hilton Garden Inn, a day nursery and a business centre. By enhancing the city’s heritage and creating jobs, La Halle Boca, occupying an area of 23,500 m², has breathed new life into an entire district situated between the River Garonne and the Gare Saint-Jean train station.
