Crédit Agricole Assurances Group is the leading institutional investor in renewable energies

In partnership with Engie, CAA has a portfolio of approximately 1.3 gigawatt of wind and solar energy production infrastructures in France. This portfolio makes CAA the biggest institutional investor in renewable energy sources in France.

Examples include the Crédit Agricole Assurances Group’s recent investment, alongside Engie, in two projects:
- Montane Sud, located in Corrèze, with a capacity of 12 megawatts of solar energy (brought into service on 15 April 2017)
- Barly, located in Somme, with a capacity of 10 megawatts of solar energy, (brought into service on 1st January 2018).

As a signatory of the PRI (Principles for Responsible Investment), the Crédit Agricole Group takes account of environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors in its investment decisions. Considering the importance of the societal issues at stake, that is why it favours certain sectors such as health, financing the economy and renewable energy sources.
