Crédit Agricole establishes a mutualist support scheme to help professional policyholders cope with their operating losses

The two-month lockdown related to COVID-19 has led to a sharp decline in business across entire sectors of our economy. Small business owners, shopkeepers, and many other professionals are currently facing unforeseen operating losses, which are not covered by the usual scope of their insurance policies.

Crédit Agricole establishes a mutualist support scheme to help professional policyholders cope with their operating losses

Crédit Agricole has decided to support professionals and help them make it through this unprecedented crisis by implementing an unparalleled support system for all policyholders who have taken out professional comprehensive insurance with operating loss cover. This mutualist support scheme will lead to the payment of a sum corresponding to a flat-rate estimate of the income lost by the economic sector concerned during this period.

Nearly €200 million will be paid out in this scheme.

The mutualist support scheme comes into effect immediately: each insured customer will be informed of the payment procedures without delay.

Remaining true to its mutualist commitments, Crédit Agricole is determined to act in favour of professionals, small business owners and shopkeepers everywhere, in all regions, and to help them survive.
