Highlights of 2010 for the Crédit Agricole Assurances group.
January 2010
- Crédit Agricole Assurances signs a partnership agreement with Ramsay Health Care, a company listed in Australia and a major player in the private hospital sector, with more than one hundred facilities on three continents. The aim of the partnership is to improve the supply and quality of care in French private hospitals.
- First ISO 9001 certification for Predica's Customer Quality division.
- Formation of Caagis, a services company supplying Crédit Agricole Assurances and its subsidiaries.
February 2010
- New governance structure for Crédit Agricole S.A.: Jean-Paul Chifflet is appointed Chief Executive Officer and Jean-Marie Sander becomes Chairman.
- Predica's customer satisfaction barometer: 80% of customers are satisfied (survey of 2,000 Crédit Agricole and LCL customers).
Mars 2010
- Launch of the BforBank online savings offering.
- Xynthia storm: More than 500 Pacifica employees handle 60,000 phoned-in claims from 30,000 storm victims in three weeks.
- Crédit Agricole Assurances becomes the first bancassurer to sign the Principles for Responsible Investment, a United Nations initiative launched in 2005.
- Crédit Agricole Assurances recognised for the quality of its policies, notably Predica's Floriane, which takes Le Revenu magazine's Gold Trophy for the fifth year running.
- Facts & Figures ranks Crédit Agricole Assurances among the top 10 non-life insurers in the French market.
May 2010
- Crédit Agricole Assurances launches its carbon assessment project to measure the carbon emissions from its business in 2009.
- Predica's Business Market division obtains ISO 9001 certification.
- Launch of Floriagri, a life insurance policy designed especially for farmers. Floriagri assists farmers at every stage of their professional lives, from start-up to retirement.
- Cariparma receives the Insurance Marketing Award for its Cariparma si puo product developed by Caci (income protection for Cariparma's mortgage and consumer credit customers).
June 2010
- Building on Pacifica's success with life accidents insurance (GAV – Garantie des Accidents de la Vie), BES (Portugal) enters the market, attracting 300 policyholders the very first day.
- Pacifica mobilised its teams and stepped up claims handling and payment procedures for customers affected by flooding in the Var region.
July/August 2010
- Launch of a unit-linked product range in Japan with Tokyo Star Bank.
- Emporiki launches a new current account coupled with hospitalisation insurance designed by Emporiki Insurance.
- La Médicale adds two new Socially Responsible Investment (SRI) funds to its range, alongside LCL Actions Développement Durable Euro and Amundi funds.
- Pacifica launches an innovative and competitive car insurance offer to cater to customers on a tight budget.
September 2010
- After Resona and Tokyo Star Bank, Crédit Agricole Life Japan signs a new partnership agreement with Shizuoka Bank, a western Tokyo regional bank.
- Axéria Vie and April Patrimoine become subsidiaries of Crédit Agricole Assurances.
- Predica's accidental death insurance offering is expanded to offer better family coverage.
- The SRI funds in Predica's life insurance policies receive Novethic's SRI 2010 certification.
- Pacifica sets a record with one million new policies signed between January and September 2010.
October 2010
- Crédit Agricole Assurances commits to assisting home carers by financing local projects throughout France.
- Crédit Agricole and Pacifica set up an accident prevention campaign called Casque à vélo (bike helmets) to promote road accident awareness among young people. Bank branches distribute more than 9,200 helmets to 5,169 families.
November 2010
- Launch of "Parlons assurance vie", a life insurance slot on the RTL radio station.
- Predica’s underwriting reserves top €200 billion.
- Pacifica signs a partnership agreement with Spot Image, a specialist in imagery, satellite maps and geo-information solutions.
December 2010
- Changes in governance structure:
> On 1 December, CEO Bernard Michel, 62, informs the board of Crédit Agricole Assurances, the holding company of Crédit Agricole Group insurers, that he intends to retire.
Jérôme Grivet, 48, CEO of Predica since 1 September 2010, takes over from Bernard Michel on 1 December 2010 while continuing to serve as Predica's CEO.
> On 1 December, Pacifica's board of directors is informed that CEO Patrick Duplan, 61, intends to retire.
Thierry Langreney, 50, Head of International Insurance at Crédit Agricole Assurances, takes over on 1 December. - Pacifica acquires 100% of MRACA, a non-life insurance company belonging to the Nord de France Crédit Agricole Regional Bank.
